Shari Costigan-Owner, Lead Floral Designer and Planner
Hi there! I’m Shari-Mother of one sweet rambunctious 4 yr old son, Wife to the man of my dreams, and Owner of Events de Luxe!
I was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Texas when I was still in grade school, so I consider Texas home! Although Texas is where I call home, both of my parents are from Jamaica so I have an undying love of Reggae Music and good Caribbean food !!
Some would say I was born into the wedding industry….From the time I was a little girl my Mom had a hobby of photography, so I spent many weekends helping her as she photographed the weddings of family and friends. My Dad was the designated DJ for the weddings and parties of our family and friends. Helping him update his playlists with the newest hits and dancing in the living room as he practiced his music lineup was, and still is, what we consider family fun . My Aunt had a wedding boutique so I would spend my summer days helping her make wedding day dreams come true! As the years passed, my love of weddings and events only continued to grow!! From that longtime love of the joy and beauty of weddings came, Events de Luxe!
I have been planning events and weddings for as long as I can remember! In 2017, I decided to make it official! Soon after opening Events de Luxe, I decided to attend floral school and become nationally certified as a Floral Designer with the American Institute of Floral Designers! Now much of my life is spent planning weddings and dreaming up the most beautiful and unique floral designs for Houston’s brides!
When I am not planning or designing weddings you will probably find me eating- either at one of my favorite restaurants in Houston (I say one of my favorites because I have a very long list of favorites spanning from Pho to Sushi to Taco Trucks to Steakhouses) or cooking at the house and spending time with family and friends!
Every bride and groom have their own love story and YOUR wedding day is the first day of YOUR FOREVER LOVE STORY!! If that isn’t something worth celebrating I don’t know what is! I enjoy helping each couple plan and design the perfect day that reflects your style and celebrates your love!

I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I have been happily married for 22 years to a wonderful man! I am the mother of two amazing kids, Dana-21 and Diego-17. (I call them kids but I guess they aren’t kids anymore!)
When I am not designing flowers and planning weddings, I love spending time with my family, hosting backyard Barbecues, and dancing the night away!
A wedding day is a day spent celebrating the love of the Bride and Groom, but also the love they have for their family and friends that they have shared so many special memories with throughout the years. My favorite part of the wedding day is the Father-Bride and Mother-Son Dances-One of the proudest moments in a parent’s life! Throughout the Wedding Day, parents look on as their son or daughter enjoys one of the happiest days of their lives. Watching as parents enjoy their special dance with their son or daughter brings absolute joy to my heart. I cry every time!
My favorite flower is The Red Rose (Everyone Loves Red Roses!) But as a florist, it can’t just be any red rose though.. I love Black Magic and Heart Roses! They are absolutely beautiful!

I am originally from O’Fallon Missouri but I moved to Houston 4 years ago to marry the love of my life!
When I’m not working to make wedding day dreams come true, you can find me at the gym, walking my two fur babies (Coco and Cookie), crafting, and spending time with my husband!
For months we plan, design, and imagine what each wedding day will look like. When the wedding day finally arrives, it is so rewarding to see the final masterpiece come together. My favorite part of the wedding day is The Room Reveal-seeing the smiles, gasps, and overall reactions of our luxe couples when they see their fully decorated reception for the first time is priceless!
My favorite flower is The White Rose-Clean and Classy
Fun Fact: I was a Luxe Bride! Shari was my planner, designer and Florist and my wedding was at The Springs Venue!!

When I’m not planning and designing weddings I enjoy date night!! We love visiting new restaurants, movie night on the couch with a warm blanket and popcorn, and salsa dancing (even though I’m not that great at it... he dances better than me)!
There are two things I can’t live without.

I am a hopeless romantic and a big believer in love, fairy tales, and living happily ever after! My favorite part of the wedding day is The First Look- that moment when the Bride and Groom see each other for the first time on the best day of their lives and their first day of forever!
My favorite flowers are Orchids!-Simple and elegant!
Fun Fact: I was a Luxe Bride too! Shari was my Florist and my wedding was at the Dunlavy!
